The Usual DisclaimerTHE IMPORTANT PART
Because wood and leather are both natural products each pen and pen case will look unique and may have variations in color and texture. This is includes patina, worm holes, lines and stabilized cracks in the historic woods. After all they have been around for at least 100 years. Think of how you will look in 100 years from now.
Lets also discuss humidity and temperature. Both wood and leather expand and contract with changes in humidity and temperature. As I make the pens I am soaking the wood with stabilizers and I finish the pens with multiple coats of friction lacquer. This process should keep the wood stable in normal conditions. If under normal care the wood splits, I will replace it with one of equal value. But I doubt the wood will hold up to extremes of temperature and moisture and sunlight. So treat it like a fine antique piece of furniture. Dust it with a soft cloth. Do not soak it in water, run it through the washer and dryer or leave it on you car dash or leave it outside in the weather. You will ruin the pen and void the guarantee. I have been married and raised teenagers and I can tell if the pen has been abused, so don't bother trying to pull one on me, like my husband and say "I didn't know you can't run sterling silver and wood through the dish washer." These pens are just like a fine antique, treat them that way and they will be heirlooms you can hand down to your kids and grandkids.
However I do guarantee that the pens are made by me from the woods stated. I further guarantee the pen will write and be free from mechanical defect. If a pens fails to write in the first 30 days, I will send you a new refill and if it still does not meet your satisfaction, I will replace the pen with a pen of equal value. I can not do refunds, exchanges only. You will be responsible to contact me and ship the pen back insured for what you paid for it, and I will ship the new insured pen to you at my expense.
If you receive a damaged pen please let me know ASAP so I can contact the shippers insurance.
I am not responsible for anything written with these pens nor for any damage done by the ink.
Those of you who are using the pens to sign wedding certificates, I am not responsible for how the marriage goes. But if the marriage goes really really bad, I may know some one who is going to make pistol grips from gun fighter wood.
